Wedding Guys' Wednesday: New Bridal Salon a&bé Opens in Downtown Minneapolis

It all begins with four simple words, “Will you marry me?” And with that question, your life is forever changed. You are no longer a “me,” but a “we.” It is no longer “my dreams, my family, my future,” but “our dreams, our family, our future.” A wedding is the beginning of a new chapter in your life.

But before you walk (or dance) down the aisle, you need to figure out a lot of details.

Enter The Wedding Guys™, Matthew Trettel and Bruce Vassar, recognized internationally as leading authorities on wedding celebrations. Their fun, energetic personalities, keen eye for detail, and passionate love for all things wedding gives couples a fresh new approach to wedding planning.

The Wedding Guys bring years of industry knowledge and trend-forward expertise to Twin Cities couples through their Signature Weddings, Twin Cities Bridal Show, and Unveiled – The Ultimate Wedding Planning Event. They associate and collaborate with leading international couture bridal gown designers—keeping a pulse on fashion trends—while actively working with trendsetting artisans, designers, couturiers, and producers who are leaders in their respective fields.

They will take you from “to-do” to “I do!” in a new eight-part series, “Wedding Guys Wednesdays.” They’ll share fashion advice, answer common questions about ceremony and reception etiquette, and provide the ‘inside track’ to planning your own signature wedding. Along the way, there will be contests and ticket giveaways to the Twin Cities Bridal Show Sept. 21 at the St. Paul RiverCentre

a&bé Bridal Shop is Perfect for Creative Brides

We had the extreme pleasure of getting to know bridal salon owners, Anna and Breanna, when we were filming the second season of the TLC series Randy to the Rescue in Denver back in December 2012.

In the fall of 2013, they opened a new concept store in Denver called a&bé having identified a creative surge and new energy that simply couldn’t be met with their existing store anna bé. NOT the little sister store, the budget store, or the secondary spin-off, a&bé was born to make its own mark in the wedding industry.

a&bé bridal shop is the stylish destination for creative brides who want the up-and-coming indie dresses from a wider source of designers than what one might find at many bridal salons. Lucky us, they decided to expand the concept and open a second location in our very own Minneapolis. You won’t immediately recognize the names of their designers, and that is precisely the point. They take great pride in discovering new designers—those rising stars who still fly under the radar. Sometimes, it’s the designer that’s just getting started, or the designer truly on the fringe of something special. Brides: this is your chance to experience cutting-edge bridal fashion. These are the types of dresses we get to experience at New York Bridal Fashion Week.

Why Minnesota? Well, according to Anna and Breanna, it’s for the same reasons that we love Minnesota: the creativity, the energy, the amazing output of awesome entrepreneurs, and the passionate people who work in the wedding industry. We wish them nothing but the best of luck as they embark on this new adventure!

They will be hosting a special party in honor of their grand opening on Thursday, August 21 at 1607 Hennepin Avenue, downtown Minneapolis. One lucky attendee will win a wedding dress. You must RSVP to attend. For more details, click here. The shop will be open for business on Saturday, August 23.
