Not Your Mom’s Fairy Tale

WHAT: “Out of the Pan, Into the Fire” by the Moving Company
WHERE: The Lab Theater, Mpls.
WHEN: 7:30 p.m.
The Moving Company incorporates its signature physical imagery into a new-wave fairy tale that exceeded its goals in a Kickstarter campaign last year—it was so popular, it’s back for a second round. Although it evokes a “happily-ever-after” world as a setting, this production is no children’s story: Expect more Grimm than Disney. Learn more at themovingco.org.

In the Darkroom

WHAT: Prints
WHERE: Torch Theater, Mpls.
WHEN: 7:30 p.m.
A first for Torch Theater, Prints is an original script by Minnesota’s own John Middleton. Explore a fun, stylish, bygone scene of gangsters, bootleggers, and crime in 1930s Minneapolis in this production when William Hamm (yes, of Hamm’s Brewing) is kidnapped—if you’ve ever had a Hamm’s Golden Draft, you’ll be rooting for his safe return.
