The Golden Shovel Legacy

What: U.S. Pond Hockey Championships

Bundle up and take a trip to Lake Nokomis to watch the 2015 U.S. Pond Hockey Championship. Hundreds of teams formed from players including NHL legends, high school stars, and talented neighbors will compete for the elusive Golden Shovel. Opening ceremonies begin on Friday at 8:30 a.m., and the award ceremony will take place Sunday. Jazz It Up

What: Jazz in the Lobby Bar at The Saint Paul Hotel

This annual festival presents a colorful combination of one-act plays, one-person shows, music and comedy performances, films, visual arts, workshops, and more. The event runs until January 31 and will feature different activities and shows each day; Sunday’s include a family-friendly art workshop and a lecture with famous illustrator Hanoch Piven. Long Live Rock

What: KQRS Classic Rock Art Show & Sale
Where: Hard Rock Café, Mall of America

This show really puts the “class” in classic rock, displaying artwork from rock legends such as John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, and more.
