Six local chefs—from Butcher & the Boar, Kaskaid Hospitality, and other restaurants—prepare morel mushrooms in myriad ways. Think: butter-fried morels, morel kabobs with beef, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus with garlic-and-morel butter, and even morel ice cream. (What’s with all the fungi-fuss? Where: A-Mill Artist Lofts, 315 Main St. SE, Minneapolis
This is a “roaming opera”—meaning it takes advantage of the Pillsbury A-Mill space, hauling audiences on the superhero-esque romp of a boy, a nymph, and a cyclops, down to the dungeon-like hydro power tunnels, built before the Civil War, and up to the rooftop, overlooking the river and downtown, for the final act.
