WHAT: The St. Paul Art Crawl

The St. Paul Art Crawl began in 1991 with five locations, all in Lowertown. This year’s iteration of the biannual event will see the work of more than 300 artists sprawled across six neighborhoods. Union Depot is the focal point of the festivities, and dancers and classical musicians will be performing at the historical building. Legend-Tripping at the Ruins

WHERE: Mill Ruins Park
The organizers of the successful Madison Ghost Walks are bringing their haunted history tours to Minneapolis. There are no rent-a-ghouls on the payroll, just guides armed with flashlights and spooky-but-true, family-friendly stories of Mill Ruin Park, City Hall, Foshay Tower, and seven other Minneapolis haunts. East Side Neighborhood Services invites you to lift a stein and help immigrant, refugee, and low-income families meet their basic needs. The Nordeast Big River Brewfest is a fundraiser featuring more than 200 local beers, local food, and live music. You can buy tickets here; each one comes with a beer mug.
The Power of a Good Story

Leave your Batman mask at home, this gathering is strictly for those who geek out over a good book or podcast. Mara Wilson, Lev Grossman, and The Giant Squidstravaganza (makers of The Celphalapodcast) are just some of the eclectic guests slated to appear. The docket for Sunday includes a slate of surreal black-and-white shorts, a drama about a veteran addicted to painkillers, and two documentaries; one is about jazz and the 1971 Attica Prison riot, and the other follows an “outrageously un-PC New Zealand talk show host” as his life unravels.
