A TRIBUTE TO ASSATA SHAKUR AND CUBA

Join the Minnesota Cuba Committee as we honor the legendary Black liberation activist Assata Shakur. This gathering will include a screening of “Eyes of the Rainbow” by Black Cuba Filmmaker Gloria Rolando.

Hear the words of Assata Shakur as she spends her years in safety from false US government charges in Cuba. Afterwards a discussion to include U of MN African Studies professor August Nimtz speaking on Cuba’s proletarian internationalism and the lessons of the Black liberation movement.
