Danny Diamond (fiddle) and Brian Miller (guitar, bouzouki, vocals) play eloquent traditional Irish music. Danny’s distinctive fiddle style fuses deep roots in the Irish tradition with a rare expressiveness and depth of feeling. He is joined by Brian whose playing weaves sympathetically around the fiddle, adding structure, energy, and drive; and always with impeccable taste.

Born in Belfast into a cross-community family with deep roots in traditional music, Danny spent his formative years immersed in the tradition: learning, playing, and performing at festivals and music sessions around Ireland. Later, he was centrally involved as a performer, archivist, and sound engineer in the early years of Ireland’s ongoing folk music revival. In recent years Danny has toured internationally, creating and performing collaborative projects with writers, dance companies, and visual artists.

Minnesotan Brian Miller fell in love with Irish traditional music as a teenager in Bemidji and followed the music to Ireland and its many strongholds in the US. Based in St. Paul since 1998, he has played with and learned from many of the top performers and tradition bearers in North America’s Irish music scene. He is an authority on the history of Irish music and singing in the Great Lakes region.
