Emma Norton Opening Doors Gala
April 27 @ 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm$100 – $1000
Emma Norton’s annual Opening Doors Gala, will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 6 p.m. at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront Hotel. This fundraising event hopes to raise $125,000 for Emma Norton programs, which continue to provide transformational housing, support, and healing services for women, individuals, and families in transition. The goal at Emma Norton is to help those in need stabilize their lives, heal from trauma, build confidence, and enable self-sufficiency for long term success.
Highlights of this year’s event include fabulous food, entertainment, and moving testimonials from Emma Norton residents. Guests will also be updated on the new building, Restoring Waters at Highland Bridge. The groundbreaking for the future home of more than 60 individuals and small families was held in January. Once complete, it will provide all residents access to a safe, affordable home with wrap-around supportive services to help with stability, healing, and growth. The gala will also include a live and silent auction where guests can bid on a private tour of the new building site, a Colorado condo stay, concert tickets, and so much more!
The event will be hosted by Twin Cities artist, poet, director, playwright, and community leader Shá Cage. She most recently directed “African School Girls” at the Jungle Theater in Minneapolis. Cage is the founder of Catalyst Arts MN, a co-founder of Mama Mosaic Theater (for Women), the MN Spoken Word Association, The Million Artist Movement, Tru Ruts, and the MN Artist Coalition. Cage has a passion for activism as well which has taken her around the world. This will be her fourth year in a row hosting the Opening Doors Gala.
Registration for this event is required to attend. A table costs $1,000, while individual tickets are $100. If you’re unable to join in person, you can still register to bid in the silent auction, support an individual, family, or program with a Fund-A-Need donation, or join the event virtually through a live stream.
