Minneapolis Comedy Festival

June 13 - June 19

After the last two years, it’s safe to say we could all use a laugh. Thankfully, one of our greatest art forms will soon take over one of our greatest cities.

The Minneapolis Comedy Festival has announced its 2022 return to the Twin Cities from June 13-19, and it’s a week you won’t want to miss.

Historic Hennepin Theatre Trust’s State Theatre and Pantages Theatre will feature immense comedic talents including Staten Island native and truTV’s Impractical Jokers star Sal Vulcano, journalist, comedian, host, and viral creator of the Manitowoc Minute Charlie Berens, actress and renowned comedian Maria Bamford, the viral sensation and “teachers comedian” Eddie B, creator of Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening Ari Shaffir, and New York based comedian Mark Normand, most well-known for his relentlessly punchy writing and expert delivery.

The Assembly at the Woman’s Club will host a seven-day marathon of back to back comedy powerhouses including Jackass star Steve-O; Chappelle’s Show favorite Donnell Rawlings; music teacher turned comedian (Netflix’s The Comedy Lineup) JR De Guzman; Pop culture author (Betches, TotalFratMove, BroBible, HeTexted) and comedian Jared Freid; Chelsea Lately’s Josh Wolf; Emmy-Award Winning SNL cast member Chris Redd; Late Night with Seth Meyers and Will & Grace actor and comedian Matteo Lane; features on Netflix’s The Standups Dusty Slay and Brian Simpson; PTA mom turned viral TikTok sensation Pinky Patel; and Liza Treyger and Kara Klenk host That’s Messed Up: An SVU Podcast, where they break down an episode of Law & Order SVU with games and gossip.
