Minnesota State Band Spring Concert

April 26 @ 1:00 am - 2:30 pm

Free

Join the Minnesota State Band for their annual spring concert, “Past and Present.” The program will include selections from the band’s repertoire from 100 years ago, the premiere of a brand new composition, and music from their “Mostly Marches and Overtures” winter tour to Moose Lake, Grand Rapids, and Cloquet. Don’t miss another varied and entertaining program from the talented musicians of the Minnesota State Band, conducted by Keith Liuzzi and Evan Varns.

The Minnesota State Band is the Official Band of the State of Minnesota and has been delighting audiences since their first appearance in April 1898 at a St. Paul Apostles baseball game. The band is the only remaining State Band in the United States and is now operated as a non-profit organization with an all-volunteer membership. The Band performs year-round for audiences across Minnesota and has represented the State of Minnesota on six International Goodwill Tours since 1986.
