National Diabetes Prevention Program

The National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) is a lifestyle-change program designed for people with pre-diabetes. It is based on the CDC’s curriculum and the NDPP’s standards. Participants will learn how to make lasting lifestyle changes, such as eating healthier, adding physical activity into daily routines, and improving coping skills. This is a year-long program that meets weekly for 16 weeks, and then monthly for the remainder of the year. Each session is one hour in length. The class is a combination of presentations, discussion, and activities with others who have similar experiences.
