OISEAUX EN BRUT – EXPOSITION DE RACHEL COYNE
Come admire the beautiful artwork of Rachel Coyne in our Vaaler Galerie!
Oiseaux en Brut is visceral Outsider Art inspired by Jean Dubuffet. Dubuffet’s Art Brut embraced visionary art outside the boundaries of official culture. Coyne’s images feature her personal obsessions – snakes, birds, eyes and flowers.
The opening of Rachel’s exhibition will take place on Thursday, June 2nd at 6 pm. After opening night the exhibition will be open to visitors Monday through Thursday 9 am to 7 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 9 am to 4 pm. The exhibition will be on display until July 2nd, 2022. It is free of charge, with a $10 suggested donation to support our cultural programs.
Rachel Coyne is a painter and writer. She’s a graduate of the Perpich Center for Arts Educations, a public Art High School and Macalester College, where she received a BA in French. Coyne’s strongest artistic influence is Outsider Art or Art Brut, championed by the French Artist Jean Dubuffet. Like Dubuffet her art features bright colors, emphatic lines and narrative drama.
