Open Theme, The Artist Intervenes, Fargo Street

Join us at Praxis Gallery & Photographic Arts Center in Minneapolis on February 15, 2025, at 6 PM, for the opening of three exhibitions:

GALLERY 1: Open Theme – Praxis Gallery presents photographic art of any genre and subject matter that represents the artists’ endeavors to reveal a personal declaration of visual significance—whether through aesthetic formalism, humor, conflict, fiction, fact, or other manifestations.

GALLERY 2: The Artist Intervenes – This exhibition showcases photographic and lens-based artwork that goes beyond traditional photographic processes. Artists have physically manipulated images through sewing, cutting, drawing, painting, tearing, bending, and weaving—interrogating the materiality of the photographic print to create new realities.

GALLERY 3: Fargo Street + Artist Talk & Book Release – “Fargo, North Dakota is the muse for W. Scott Olsen’s black and white meditation on the richness of human experience in all its raw and unfiltered beauty… In the end, what emerges is a black-and-white celebration of life in all its colors—a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, the enduring beauty of nature, and the interconnectedness of all things.” —Ami Vitale
