Quantum Computing: Why, How, and When

The 14th Annual Misel Family lecture is FREE and OPEN to the public.
This Year’s speaker is Dr. Charles Marcus from the Center for Quantum Devices at the Niels Bohr Institute, and the Microsoft Quantum Lab in Copenhagen.
Dr. Marcus will give a lecture titled, “Quantum Computing: Why, How, and When” – This talk will discuss the recent advancements in quantum computing, which uses the known laws of quantum physics to compute in new ways.
The lecture assumes no background in physics, simply an enthusiasm or curiosity for science.
The lecture will be held Wednesday, October 16th @ 7 pm in Memorial Hall at the McNamara Alumni Center, 200 Oak Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414 and is FREE and OPEN to the public. Please visit our website for more information: http://www.ftpi.umn.edu/misel/index.html
