Roberta Flack – Something so Special About Her
July 20 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Roberta Flack was a musical trailblazer whose soulful blend of gospel, folk and R&B reshaped the sound of a generation. From 1970 to 1990, she created timeless music with messages of love and empowerment, quietly opening doors for future generations of female artists.
Her iconic hits include “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” “Killing Me Softly,” “Tonight I Celebrate My Love,” “Back Together Again,” and unforgettable duets with Donny Hathaway like “Where Is the Love” and “The Closer I Get to You.”
Now, powerhouse vocalist Ginger Commodore brings Roberta’s music to life on stage, joined by Ashley Commodore and Kijana Gant. Backed by a stellar band—Brian Ziemniak, Yohannes Tona, Brandon Commodore, Geoff LeCrone and Peter Vircks—they’ll perform soul-stirring favorites like “Trying Times,” “Compared to What,” “I Can See the Sun in Late December,” “Suzanne,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “You’ve Got a Friend.”
Celebrate the voice, the songs and the legacy of one of music’s most essential artists.
