SONGBREAK: SONGS FOR OUR WELLBEING delivers vivid art songs and emotional operatic arias from composers we know and love in the classical music world. Names like Franz Schubert, Henry Purcell, Gabriel Faure, Henri DuParc and Peter Tchaikovsky are masterful song writers whose works stand the test of time. Their songs still deliver emotional truth and dramatic power through their poetic texts and lyrical melodies.

Inspired by the power of singing as medicine, we have partnered with Minnesota Community Care, a St. Paul community healthcare clinic, to produce this special online vocal concert of classical and traditional songs and arias. Performed under the artistic direction of Craig Fields, by singers Brian Haase and Riley Cardona with their pianist, Bryon Wilson, you’ll enjoy a unique and inspiring event.

This partnership is formed with the goals of supporting community health care work, increasing community access to classical and traditional vocal music, and coping with the grief and hardship of COVID-19.

Founded in 1972, West Side Community Health Services was one of the largest and most established community health care organizations. In 2019, West Side became Minnesota Community Care furthering the mission of “Strengthening the well-being of our community through health care for all.”

Your ticket purchase helps support Minnesota Community Care and to make more concerts like this available.
