Strides Against Bladder Cancer

May 10 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

$25

The University of Minnesota Department of Urology is hosting its annual Strides Against Bladder Cancer walk to raise funds and awareness for bladder cancer research.

Bladder cancer is the third most common cancer in men, with 65,000 new cases each year, and over 500,000 living with the disease in the United States. The Department of Urology’s Institute for Prostate and Urologic Cancers (IPUC) is at the forefront of research in identifying new urine-based diagnostic tests, treating early-stage cancer to preserve the bladder, and identifying precision medicine strategies to use chemotherapy more effectively.

Strides Against Bladder Cancer is a non-timed, 3K walk that takes place on Saturday, May 10 at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis. Participants are encouraged to bring the whole family to this event. Dogs are welcome! All proceeds benefit bladder cancer research and education at IPUC. Each participant will receive a T-shirt at check-in. Check-in is at 9:30 AM and the walk begins at 10 AM.
