November 11, 1940 started out as a balmy and unseasonably warm day, but that soon changed. With little warning, temperatures plunged and winds howled, smacking the Midwest with one of the biggest storms ever recorded, claiming over 150 lives in the process. Based on historic records and the recollections of those who lived through it, nimbus tells the story of a blizzard that changed Minnesota forever.
