We Dig Peter, Paul & Mary
November 9 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Michael Monroe, called a “Minnesota acoustic music master” by the Star Tribune, leads this trio through classics like “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Weave Me the Sunshine,” “Marvelous Little Toy,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone,” “If I Had a Hammer,” “Day Is Done,” “I Dig Rock and Roll Music,” and top ten hits like “Puff the Magic Dragon,” “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” and “Leaving on a Jet Plane.”
Many of these beloved songs were written by legendary artists including Bob Dylan, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot and Woody Guthrie.
Michael shares stories from recording his first demo at Paul Stookey’s Chicken Coop Studio in South Blue Hill, Maine in the ’70s. Timothy reflects on his personal connection to the song “500 Miles” and Ann recalls what it was like performing with Peter and Paul in the Twin Cities, including the moment she got the call to join them.
Enjoy this seasoned trio as Ann’s pure highs, Timothy’s tenor and Michael’s baritone blend into impeccable harmonies, with a touch of wry humor. Their performance captures the emotion and spirit of the ’70s, joined by Joan Griffith on acoustic upright bass.
Relive the timeless music of Peter, Paul and Mary and the songs of the ’60s and ’70s that still resonate today.
