Stein, Joshua

Dr. Stein is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Clinical Director of PrairieCare’s Youth Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Brooklyn Park. A lifelong Twin Cities resident, he completed medical school, psychiatry residency, and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Stein specializes in treating youth with complex conditions, including autism, anxiety, depression, OCD, and emerging personality disorders. He leads a multidisciplinary team that provides assessment, therapy, and stabilization to help patients return to school, home, and community life with renewed purpose and joy. Dr. Stein also provides consultation for primary care providers through PrairieCare’s Psychiatric Assistance Line (PAL). A past president of the Minnesota Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, he continues to advocate for improved access to quality youth mental health services statewide.
