Art-A-Whirl, May 16-18

Put on by the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association, Art-A-Whirl has spanned Northeast Minneapolis for the last 30 years. This self-directed, open-studio tour highlights over 1,400 artists at 100-plus locations, making it the largest experience of its kind in the nation. Plus, there’s live music, interactive art experiences, and nearby restaurants and breweries to enjoy. Can’t decide which stops to hit? Mainstreet Day Arts & Craft Fair, May 17

Head to Hopkins’ charming downtown area to find more than 200 vendors offering handmade woodworking, art, clothing, and more. The whole family is welcome to enjoy free entertainment, games, and food trucks. Plus, it’s for a good cause—proceeds from this annual fair are reinvested in the city and surrounding area through charitable donations and community projects.

Stone Arch Bridge Festival, June 14-15

The Stone Arch Bridge Festival brings artists (and art lovers) together along the Mississippi riverfront during Father’s Day weekend. Guests can browse and purchase artwork across an array of mediums, listen to live music, and sample delicious cuisine at this iconic Minneapolis location. Note, the downtown side of the Stone Arch Bridge is closed through this fall to pedestrians and cyclists, restricting access across the full bridge.
