A to Z Creamery Expands to New Hopkins Location

Hopkins’ hometown ice cream maker is expanding its menu—and its footprint—with a new space opening in 2026

A to Z Creamery is leveling up. Known for its wildly creative small-batch flavors—think cereal milk swirls, seasonal pies, and dessert mashups that sell out within minutes—the brand is expanding just a few steps down Mainstreet to a new home at 705 Mainstreet.

The upcoming space, slated to open in early 2026, will serve as both a production facility for A to Z’s signature pints and a seasonal retail spot offering soft serve and baked goods on weekends beginning in spring. It’s the next sweet step for founder Zach Vraa, who launched A to Z as a local passion project and has since built a loyal statewide following through weekly online flavor drops and local delivery.

“We’ve grown so much thanks to our amazing community,” Vraa said in a press release. “This move allows us to better serve our loyal customers and create a fun, seasonal soft-serve experience rooted right here in Hopkins.”

Construction is already underway, with the new spot expected to open for production and pint pickups early next year. Until then, fans can keep scooping up A to Z’s inventive flavors each Thursday night at hotplate.com/atozcreamery.
