Some say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but many foodies across the country would beg to differ. While the brunch craze has hit cities from New York City to Los Angeles, this late-morning meal is just now starting to take the Twin Cities by storm. Why Minnesotans didn’t hop on the brunching train earlier remains a mystery. From socially acceptable day drinking to the perfect food Instagram opportunities, what more could you ask for in a meal?
Luckily, some of the Twin Cities’ best new restaurants have stepped up their brunch game with some delicious options. If you are craving a classic dish, try the Kenwood’s tender, fluffy pancakes with black-walnut butter or the flaky biscuits and rich gravy at Sun Street Breads. For a fancier affair, make sure to check out Spoon & Stable’s pastry bar, full of many sweet and savory options. Can’t decide on just one thing to order? Coup d’Etat has an all-you-can-eat brunch with everything from gumbo to mini-deserts.
