St. Paul Parade

What: St. Paul’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 17, noon
Where: Rice Park to Mears Park along Fifth Street, St. Paul

Starting at noon, this parade featuring live music, great food, and Irish dancing will start at Rice Park and end at Mears Park, with a post-parade party at CHS Field.

Ballpark Fun

What: Ballpark Hooley
When: March 17, 1-3 p.m.
Where: CHS Field, 360 North Broadway St., St. Paul

After the St. Paul St. Patrick’s Day Parade, from 1-3 p.m., enjoy food and beverages as well as live music and Irish dance at CHS Field.

Minneapolis Parade

What: Minneapolis St. Patrick’s Day Association Parade
When: March 17, 6 p.m.
Where: Columbia Heights

This 55th annual parade starts at the intersection of 40th Ave. NE and Van Buren St. NE in Columbia Heights and will continue down 40th Ave. NE, turn onto Fifth St. NE and end at Mill St. NE at Murzyn Hall.

Cocktails at the Lex

What: St. Patrick’s Day Cocktail Party
When: March 17, 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Where: The Lexington, 1096 Grand Ave., St. Paul

Enjoy an Irish buffet with Reuben corndogs, corned beef and cabbage, desserts, specialty Irish cocktails, and green beer and well as live music performing into the night.

Events in Excelsior

What: Bridgewater Bank Luck ‘O the Lake
When: March 18
Where: Downtown Excelsior

This daylong community festival starts with a 1-mile fun run and 5K timed race, followed by an all-day party featuring live music, magicians, Irish dancers, beer, and more.

Family Fun at Can Can Wonderland

What: St. Patrick’s Day at Can Can Wonderland

Get in the spirit with face painting, live Irish music, dancing, and green food and drink specials at Can Can Wonderland. Sparkle Fox will provide face painting, sparkles, and glitter from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and An Cuan, an Irish music duo, will perform from 6:00 pm – 12:30 am. Enjoy Corned beef & Sauerkraut Pizza ( Garlic sauce, corn beef, sauerkraut, mozzarella, swiss cheese), $5 shots of Red Locks Whiskey, and a fun St. Paddy’s cocktail called  “Eire Island “, a Green and glittery Irish margarita.

Porter and Pasties at Saint Paul Brewing

When: March 17, 3-7 p.m.
Where: Saint Paul Brewing, 688 Minnehaha Ave. E., St. Paul

Saint Paul Brewing will be a great gathering spot this St. Paddy’s Day, with food, drink, and music to match the occasion. The crew’s famous Pooka Irish Cream Porter will be on tap all day, and there will be a one-day-only special of Irish pasties, Colcannon potatoes, and soda bread.  Cavan’s Crossing, a well-loved 4 piece Irish folk band, will perform live between 3-7 pm.  This would make a great post-parade stop, or a great place to avoid packed pubs. Saint Paul Brewing is located on the city’s near-East side, on the historic Hamm’s Brewery grounds. Indoors offers artfully eclectic decor and a friendly vibe, and this season, the outdoor patio has a firepit built into a canoe and a sauna available to book, and the patio’s giant “keg tree” sculpture will be lit green for the evening.
