As the Uptown, Loring Park, and Powderhorn art festivals make their mark on the metro area’s culture scene this weekend, we’re reminded that artistry comes in many different forms—including food. On this week’s Moveable Feast, Rachel and John discuss a few local desserts with presentations bound to leave a mark on your memory.
Rachel says the pastry world is where to go for the most artfully crafted plates. La Belle Vie’s chef Niki Francioli, formerly of Sea Change, never disappoints. Try the manjari crémeux, which adds touches of sorbet and vanilla caramel to create a modernly beautiful presentation.
Spoon and Stable’s dessert menu also features a slew of notable sweets to try—including their sorbets, which arrive alongside a couple of delicious honey cookies and other added garnishes.
