I realize that the term “happy hour” implies imbibing before the official work day ends, but how many of us can actually escape the office early enough to take advantage of happy hour specials that typically end at 5 o’clock? There’s nothing like running down Nicollet Mall in high heels only to miss last call on $3 taps. (The irony that I have no problem paying $6 on a Saturday night does not escape me.) Which is why I am thrilled to see more bars and restaurants extending their happy hours. It’s a win-win for everyone, except maybe your waistline. Here are a few of my favorites, but please weigh in with yours!
