St. Paul Grill turns 20 this month, celebrating some 106,000 filet mignons, 40,000 apple crisps, and 760,000 glasses of beer. I’ve definitely had more than my fair share, what with the countless birthdays and holidays that my family has spent here, tucked away in a cozy leather booth. And it was in the gleaming, clubby bar that I sipped champagne after my husband proposed in Rice Park.
Throughout October, six popular dishes will be offered at 1990 prices:
• House-smoked salmon with pumpernickel toast points and lime caper cream cheese – $6.95
• Pear and walnut salad – $7.95
• Chicken pot pie – $12.95
• Parmesan-crusted sea bass with whole grain mustard dill sauce and asparagus – $31.95
• Roasted tenderloin – $23.95
• Apple crisp – $4.25
