We’re well into summer and the baseball season that comes with it, but that doesn’t mean nights at the ballpark are over yet. The Minnesota Twins at Target Field have weekly discounts and deals on classic ball-game foods that will have your mouth watering, your wallet happy and “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” stuck in your head for a week. Here’s our guide to the best food perks the Twins’ stadium has to offer for the next home game you visit.
Mondays: More for Your Monday
This deal is one to catch before you buy your tickets, because on Mondays, with every Skyline Deck ticket purchase you get $10 in free food and beverages loaded directly onto your ticket. That’s a free hot dog and drink or a couple of snacks to share
Tuesdays: Our Family Section
The beginning of the week is all about those ticket deals, but this time it’s in the alcohol-free Our Family Section—sections 310 and 311. With a ticket purchase in these seats you get a free Schweigert hot dog and a soda on Tuesdays.
Wednesday: Schweigert Dollar-A-Dog Day
Hot dogs and the ballpark are a given—that’s why we love Wednesdays at Target field. Hot dogs are just $1 at both the Hennepin Grille and Taste of Twins Territory concession stands. But don’t stop at one, you can buy up to two hot dogs per person since the overall stadium limit is 20,000 a game—that’s a lot of dogs!
Also, for the students out there, don’t forget Wednesday nights have discounted student tickets and free transportation on Metro Transit.
Thursdays: Thirsty Thursday Nights
If you’ve got tickets for a Thursday night game and are in the mood for some deals, you’re in luck. From 5:30-6:30 p.m. find deeply discounted happy hour prices that include $2 drafts, $2 rails and a number of appetizer specials. Find these specials in the Town Ball Tavern, Hrbek’s, the outdoor pub located on Club Level and the Gate 6 bar.
Fridays: Barrio Happy Hour
Kick off your weekend with an early opening at Barrio at Target Field. Find exclusive drink specials from 4:30-5:30 p.m. during Friday night games, because a little tequila never hurt a baseball game.
