It’s awards season, and not just in Hollywood—Sunday, November 16 marks the fourth annual Charlie Awards, an event honoring standout chefs, restaurants, and businesses on the Twin Cities dining scene. Winners are determined by a vote of all restaurants participating in the Charlies, as well as by the general public. The night kicks off with the awards show at the Pantages Theatre and continues on with an afterparty and four-course dinner prepared by a group of last year’s honorees.
Categories include a lifetime achievement award (past winners include Lucia Watson, Lenny Russo, and D’Amico & Partners), a community hero award, and nods for outstanding chefs, pastry chefs, and restaurants, among others. The public is tapped for opinions about best neighborhood restaurants and food trucks.
Tickets for the Charlies are still available—check out the list of last year’s winners below, and head to the Charlie Awards’ website to see the nominees in this year’s public categories.
