EVENT: Light Up the Night is the annual fundraising gala supporting the mission of Hennepin County Medical Center. Held December 3 at the Depot Minneapolis, this year’s event raised a preliminary $226,561 to help fund the construction of a new family resource center for those struggling to support a loved one suffering from mental illness.
CAUSE: For more than a century, HCMC has been dedicated to providing a full spectrum of services for individuals who suffer from mental illness, providing hope for recovery and restoring them to their highest possible level of function. The family resource center will provide treatment options and information regarding mental illness, and will increase access to support groups and provide linkages to other valuable partners in the community.
OPPORTUNITY: Throughout the evening, attendees contributed to HCMC’s mission by participating in a silent or live auction, wine pull, and fund-a-need request.
