Hoban Korean BBQ

Uptown just gained a little extra sizzle by way of Hoban Korean BBQ, sister restaurant to the long-beloved Eagan strip mall destination Hoban. The new spot is, so far as we know, the only grill-at-the-table Korean barbecue joint in the Twin Cities, complete with flashy interior and thumping music. Guests select meats and with just a bit of instruction, prepare their own meal—steam, hiss, crackle, and all. Then dress each bite up with banchan, all those wonderfully pickled, spicy bites traditionally served with Korean meals. That’s not the entirety of the menu, though. There’s also bibimbap (rice bowls), bulgogi (beef shortribs), and double-fried chicken if you’d rather someone else do the cooking.
