Homegrown Minneapolis Open House

Join Homegrown Minneapolis at an open house to celebrate and discuss urban agriculture in Minneapolis this Wednesday, December 5, from 5:30-9 p.m.

Homegrown Minneapolis is a citywide initiative expanding our community’s ability to grow, process, distribute, eat, and compost more healthy, sustainable, locally grown foods.

Participants will hear an update on the city’s progress with urban agriculture initiatives, hear from two urban farmers, and have an opportunity to weigh in on possible future policies and programs. The open house will include an urban ag information fair, plus an opportunity to learn about composting, gardening, and bee keeping.

A light dinner will be served by Sisters Camelot from 6-7 p.m. Homegrown Minneapolis asks that you RSVP to Jane Shey (jane.shey@minneapolismn.gov), Homegrown Minneapolis coordinator, if you plan on attending.
