Another COVID-related closing is the Honey & Rye Bakehouse location in Minneapolis’ North Loop. The bakery made the announcement via social media, saying the closing takes effect October 31.

Honey & Rye was one of several exciting options at the Graze Provisions + Libations food hall opened last fall just a block from Target Field. Before the pandemic changed the tone of 2020, the spot looked to be a prime location to hit up before and after a Twins game.

“There are many contributing factors, not least of all the pandemic and a looming MN winter,” says a social media statement. “Like many others in the industry, we have experienced a loss of sales that we are unable to overcome.”

Honey & Rye’s original location in St. Louis Park, which features baked goods that food editor Jason DeRusha listed among the “Best Spots for Dessert” earlier this year, will carry on. Also, their baked goods are still available at FRGMNT Coffee (pastries) and Lowry Hill Meats (bread).

UPDATE // We are sad to announce the closure of our North Loop location @grazenorthloop, effective October 31st. There…
