Minnesota Monthly‘s Food & Wine Experience is more than just a weekend full of tantalizing foods, award-winning wines, and specialty beer and cocktails. Guests attending the 51st annual event held at Target Field on March 7&8 can further their experience by engaging in expert-led, educational seminars. Learn origin stories and unique qualities, highlighting Casillero del Diablo, Lodi Wine California, Willamette Valley Wine, Lift Bridge Brewing Company, and Loon Juice. Tickets to the Food & Wine Experience must be purchased for the day of the seminar in order to attend.

The Extraordinary Vintage Sensory Experience

Allow your senses to explore the extraordinary 2018 vintage red wines from world-renown Casillero del Diablo through an interactive sensory experience hosted by Chilean winery Concha y Toro’s Head Sommelier, Massimo Leonori, the “Master of Senses.” Saturday, March 7 at noon

The 100 Varieties of Lodi

Stemming from the famous Lodi Appellation in California, Lodi wine provides over 100 grape varieties, some of which derive from historic first-generation vines. Learn about the distinctiveness of grapes grown in what is becoming the most thriving region of new and exquisite tasting wine. Saturday, March 7 at 3 p.m.

This is Willamette Valley Wine

Julia Burke, wine and spirits expert and member of the Willamette Valley Wineries Association, will guide guests on an exploration of Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine. This wine region is known for critically celebrated wines such as their Pinot Noir. Enter this expressive learning environment, and sample 10 of these award-winning wines. Sunday, March 8 at noon

Are Ciders and Hard Seltzers the Future or a Fad?

The folks behind Liftbridge Brewing Company and Loon Juice are teaming up to deliver a passionate account of the history of their well-loved ciders and hard seltzers. Those attending the seminar will sample these beverages and learn why they continue to deem such high popularity. Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m.
