The latest Twin Cities restaurant to permanently close is 4 Bells. Right next to Loring Park, the former Joe’s Garage had one of the best rooftop views of downtown Minneapolis. It was the perfect table for events like Pride, art fairs, and more activity in the park.

Minnesota Monthly named 4 Bells a top outdoor dining destination in 2017.

The announcement, reported earlier by Eater Twin Cities, says simply on its website as, “We have closed 4 Bells indefinitely.” It comes amid uncertainty among restaurants related to state public health recommendations.

With Minnesota’s stay-at-home order extended to May 18, there will likely be others that follow 4 Bells. Also announcing permanent closure this week: the Bachelor Farmer and Izzy’s Ice Cream’s St. Paul location.
