Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12, this year—and you don’t have plans yet, do you? Don’t worry; here at Minnesota Monthly, we’ve got you. Here are some of the best brunch options in the metro for Mom, on one of the busiest days of the year at restaurants. Benedict’s: A la carte brunch available 7 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Wayzata location with reservations available via Yelp. Rochester brunch available 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Breva: Mother’s Day brunch, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Including a pastry basket, spring quiche, brunch classics, and celebratory cocktails for a Sunday brunch. Eggs Benedict with black forest ham and hollandaise or skirt steak and eggs with chimichurri and breakfast potatoes.
Bloomington Chophouse: Buffet with French toast bar, tri-tip and pork loin entrees, plus expansive options. Sunday, May 12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; last seating, 2:30 p.m., $60 per person; children 6-12, $30. Price includes server gratuity.
Butcher & the Boar: Buffet with their best brunch offerings plus a prime rib carving station. Brunch buffet, $55; kids under 12, $20; optional bottomless mimosas, $17; omelets or Benedicts made to order, $12.
Café & Bar Lurcat: Family-style brunch is served 9 a.m.-3 p.m.—$50 per adult, $18 for kids 12 and under. A special menu features French toast with rhubarb compote; soft scrambled eggs; applewood smoked bacon; almond key lime tart and macarons to finish; and much more.
The Clover: All-you-can-eat buffet, Sunday, May 12, 3 p.m. Adults, $34.99; kids, $12.99. The Clover’s buffet features a carving station with ham and turkey, plus breakfast favorites.
D’Amico & Sons: Brunch buffet, honey ham, bacon, vegetables, other D’Amico favorites. Moms eat free with purchase of a meal. Adults, $28; kids 10 and under, $10; 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
The Drake at the Saint Paul Hotel: Sunday, May 12, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., a la carte regular menu, along with a feature card that includes fried grits, berry manchego salad, crab frittata, shrimp po boy, and berry cheesecake.
Earl Giles: Brunch a la carte menu featuring new dishes like eggs Benedict, mortadella breakfast sandwich, and lobster rolls. Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Edinburgh USA: A brunch buffet created by the chefs at D’Amico Catering includes a complimentary mimosa for Mom. Adults, $39; kids 12 and under, $18. Served 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Farmers Kitchen + Bar: Looking for a farm-fresh brunch for Mother’s Day? Farmers Kitchen is the place to be. Enjoy your favorite brunch menus items with a family-style add-on. Guests can add on a mini muffin basket, sliced fruit plate, grilled ham steak caramelized apple glaze, or a FK+B Mimosa for only $10.
Giulia: A special prix-fixe menu on Sunday, May 12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., includes four courses, $50 per person and $20 for kids younger than 12. Highlights include a choice of mushroom-and-ricotta rartine, croque madame, strata, or oven-fried salmon.
Hewing Hotel: Rooftop Retreat from 12-3 p.m., $95 per person. Includes day pass to the sauna, spa pool, and sound healing on the Hewing Rooftop. Enjoy light bites and curated beverages.
Keller Grille at Maplewood’s Keller Golf Course: Mother’s Day Brunch with Creamy Hashbrown Casserole, Belgium Waffle Board, Carved Ham with Honey Mustard Glaze and more. 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Mother’s Day. $42 per person, and kids under 5 free.

The Lexington: Open 10 a.m.-7 p.m., with brunch served 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and the dinner menu available 10 a.m.- 7p.m. Menu features both classic and Florentine eggs Benedict, omelettes, French toast, waffles, and more. Reservations recommended.

Lucky’s 13 Pub: All-you-can-eat Mother’s Day buffet, Sun., May 12, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Adults, $34.99; kids, $12.99. Locally owned, with a scratch kitchen, Lucky’s has locations in Bloomington, Burnsville, Mendota, Plymouth and Roseville.
The Market at Malcolm Yards: The Market at Malcolm Yards is hosting its third annual Mom-A-Rama on Sunday, May 12, 11 a.m.–5 p.m., in the Blueprint Room. This special Mother’s Day event features over 20 local makers featuring art, flowers, spices, woodworking, permanent jewelry, customizable gifts, and more. There will also be a menu of mom-osas at the Boxcar Bar. Every mother (biological, chosen, and honorary) will receive a free mom-osa of their choice, while supplies last. New to the event this year is the free “Awkward Family Photo” station where guests can recreate their most cringy photo memories with friends and family. The station is open 2-5 p.m.; first come, first served. Every group that participates will automatically be entered to win a Malcolm Yards gift card.
Mason Jar Kitchen & Bar: Celebrate Mother’s Day at home with a special takeout feast! Choose herb-crusted prime rib ($195) or grilled London broil ($155), served with au gratin potatoes, garlic-buttered asparagus, salad, and dinner rolls. Serves 6. Add-ons include Atlantic salmon, smoked Gouda mac & cheese, pies, and more. Order by 3 p.m. May 10, pick up 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on May 12.
Mill Valley Kitchen: Mother’s Day brunch is served 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., featuring an elaborate brunch buffet with more than two dozen options, including pastries, smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, and more.
Mr. Paul’s Supper Club: Celebrate Mother’s Day at Mr. Paul’s on May 12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with a special brunch buffet. Guests will find a prime rib carving station, omelet station, smoked salmon, peel-and-eat shrimp, French toast, assorted salads, pastries, and cookies. Adults, $49.95; kids 12 and under, $14.95.

O’Shaughnessy Distillery: Mother’s Day sweets-and-spirits tasting, $50. Sunday at 3 p.m. Keeper’s Heart whiskey tasting features a selection of three whiskeys and three mini cocktails paired with gourmet chocolates from Cocoa Dolce.
Potluck: Show your mother love this year with a sweet treat. Stop by Sweet & Savory By Diane for a 6-inch strawberry shortcake or chocolate mousse cake for $20. Available May 10-12.

Punch Bowl Social: Brunch, $3, with mom-osas, brings out the flower vendors, who set up next to live jazz music. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The St. Paul Grill: Special menu with halibut, salmon, shrimp scampi, and beef tenderloin. Reservations recommended. Sunday, May 12, 4-8 p.m.
Tattersall Distilling, River Falls: Mother’s Day brunch specials appear alongside their current menu. Benedicts with eggs, salmon, or California Benedict, plus caramel pecan rolls with a Tattersall bourbon glaze. Seasonal cocktail specials will also be offered that include Tattersall’s Crème De Fleur, which contains 10 different flowers. Prices range from $12-$25. Sunday, May 12, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Travail Kitchen: The entire three-story restaurant becomes a brunch haven for moms. Beverages are in the Sky Lounge. Starters include shrimp cocktail, truffled deviled eggs, and mini breakfast pizzas. The main-floor buffet features breakfast favorites and a variety of pastries. Also, there are stations for made-to-order crepes and smoked picanha, plus a dessert cart. Tickets start at $95 per adult and $45 for kids 12 and under.
Tria Restaurant: Brunch buffet, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Adults, $59.95; kids (3-11), $24.95. Three-course prix fixe dinner menu, 4 p.m.-7 p.m., $52 per person.
Tullibee: A shared family-style meal, featuring dishes from the Tullibee staff’s mothers. A recipe card will be given to guests following the meal. 8 a.m.-2 p.m., $60 per adult, $15 per child under 10.
The Yankee Tavern: A contender for one of the best-value AYCE buffets around, Yankee’s spread includes smoked ham, fried chicken, Cajun hash, French toast sticks, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheesy hash browns, gravy, mac ‘n’ cheese, salads, mini-croissants, fresh fruit and veggies, biscuits, and a build-your-own-sundae dessert station.
