Brand new bakeries have entered the Twin Cities baking arena, including Baker’s Field Flour and Bread, the newest venture from Steve Horton, founder of Rustica Bakery. Horton’s operation is located at the Food Building in Northeast Minneapolis, where he mills his own flour from locally grown grains. Horton’s bread is sold at local co-ops and the Draft Horse restaurant. New to St. Paul is Brake Bread, where they deliver their wild yeast bread by bicycle and donate loaves to those in need.
