The Super Bowl is now one for the record books, Valentine’s Day has come and gone, and it’s not yet time to don your gown or tux for the Academy Awards—what’s to celebrate? It’s time once again for National Margarita Day! Where does the time go?! It is always celebrated on February 22 and since that falls on a Monday this year, you will no doubt want to raise a glass to the occasion over the weekend as well.
The classic Margarita dates back to the early 1930s and has become one of the most widely ordered cocktails today. A survey conducted by Sauza Tequila revealed that Margaritas are the most popular cocktails to order in pitcher with friends (80 percent), followed by Daiquiris (53 percent) and Sangria (49 percent). In celebration, the folks at Sauza are sharing these recipes that serve a group, whether you would like to mix up a Classic Margarita or a twist with the Perfect Pear or Citrus Margarita. If you’re planning to entertain, serving Margaritas pitcher-style is an easy way to share drinks with friends and family, keeping you out of the kitchen so you can enjoy the party as well. Cheers!
