From Impossible to Beyond, the growth of plant-based “burgers” has proven there’s a real appetite for plant-based eating.
First a coffee shop, then a vegan restaurant, then a food truck, Reverie is back again as a restaurant. And there’s a lot to love, from the crispy cauliflower tacos with pickled onion to the homemade nachos with smoked jackfruit and vegan nacho cheese.
Reverie is at its best when it’s really letting wonderful vegetables shine. As a meat eater, I found the efforts to create bacon flavors out of shiitake mushrooms and tempeh to be less than successful. Still, Reverie is a bright, fun counter-service restaurant with a terrific tap beer and cider list.
