Savvy Mom: Saddle Up for the Northeast Ride

This is the third year for The Northeast Ride, a bicycle tour of Northeast Minneapolis that includes parks, bikeways, art, breweries, and more. The ride is about twelve miles long and goes through the thirteen Northeast Minneapolis neighborhoods. It’s family-friendly for bike riders of all levels. Each registrant receives a goody bag before taking off at 10 a.m., then you can ride at your own pace through the route.

Before or after the ride, visit Diamonds Coffee Shop, or the Ideal Diner. Their business has been affected by the closing of Central Avenue for the railroad bridge repair, and they would love to see you!

The event is sponsored by the Northeast CDC, which supports the arts, community, and economic development of Northeast Minneapolis. Online registration is $20 or you can register the day of for $25. Children under 12 ride free with a paying adult.

Bring your bike, a helmet, and a lock, and you’ll be good to go!
