Whether you’re a football fan or just in it for the snacks, there’s one thing that everyone can agree on when it comes to the Super Bowl—the commercials are nothing short of stellar. But those ad spots don’t come cheap. A 30-second commercial during the game costs an estimated $3 million. Wrenshall’s Locally Laid Egg Co. recently competed in Intuit’s “Small Business, Big Game” contest, which allows small businesses to reach millions of viewers by awarding the winning company with a commercial during the Bowl.
Locally Laid sailed through the first rounds of competition to earn a spot in the final four. Although the ultimate prize was taken by a California toy company, you can check out Locally Laid’s audition video on Intiuit’s Small Business, Big Game webpage and just imagine how a commercial featuring mascot-laying hens would have livened up the third quarter.
Ah, well. There’s always next year.
