If you’ve never been to Snack Bar, now’s the time—the Italian-small-plates and pizza-by-the-slice eatery from Nancy St. Pierre and James Beard Award-winning chef Isaac Becker is bringing back its seasonal dinner series later this month.

After opening in the fall of 2019 across from Bar la Grassa (a popular Becker-St. Pierre restaurant in Minneapolis’ North Loop) Snack Bar struggled to gain momentum. With the onset of pandemic shutdowns just six months into its lifespan, the restaurant got lost in the shuffle.
To stir up some excitement, St. Pierre decided to implement a tasting menu dinner series last spring, offering guests a chance to preview and discuss new dishes. It was a success—so much so, that they’ve decided to bring back the series throughout the year.
Snack Bar’s fall preview series kicks off at the end of this month (Oct. 22 and 29, Nov. 12 and 19), and guests will be treated with a five-course prix fixe menu of seasonal dishes. Tickets are $65, with the option to add wine or a non-alcoholic beverage pairing, and can be purchased online.
