Twin Cities dining community star restaurant the Bachelor Farmer is no more. Along with its adjacent cafe and downstairs Marvel Bar, this corner of North Loop culinary excellence is going permanently dark. The news came in a note posted today by co-owner Eric Dayton (also of Askov Finlayson).
“We were already walking a fine line before COVID-19, and given that no one knows how long the impacts of this pandemic will last, or what the new normal will be, I do not see a viable path forward,” he writes.

He covers it pretty well here. Anyone who spent a decent amount of time in Minneapolis’ North Loop got to know these establishments well over the past decade. Beautiful spaces with kind and talented people serving up creative concoctions. The memories will live on.
