There’s no stopping an entrepreneur. Anne Spaeth has been looking to expand her Uptown restaurant/video studio/community space The Lynhall to another location, and it’s happening now. Soon!
The Lynhall no. 3945 (a reference to its street address 3945 Market Street) will open on Tuesday, August 18, inside the new Nolan Mains residential and retail space in the 50th & France neighborhood. It’s directly behind Evereve and Grethen House in a new building as part of the massive overhaul of that area.
“We are thrilled to be part of the fabric of the 50th & France neighborhood,” said Spaeth in a statement. “I’ve always believed that food has the power to strengthen individuals, families and communities, and that’s needed now more than ever.”
So what’s the deal? It’ll be similar: brunch service, a bar area for coffee drinks, community tables and a fireside lounge. I’m a huge fan of pastry chef Katie Elsing (her funfetti cake was one of my desserts highlighted in our sweets issue this year), and she’ll be doing her thing with croissants and breads. New executive chef Steph Hedrick will be bring Family Dinners this fall, a rotating afternoon tea service (so Edina!), and a gathering hour with small plates, meat and cheese boards, wine and beer.
You’ll recognize the design themes from the Uptown location—lots of wood, lots of white, lots of windows. It’s big, too—almost 4,000 square feet. Social distance reservations start on Tuesday, at the website. Tuesday it opens with brunch only from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and those hours will ultimately expand. Lynhall 2.0!
