The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx previewed their food and beverage program on Monday in advance of Wednesday’s home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Target Center in Minneapolis. Now in his fifth year as Wolves and Lynx executive chef, David Fhima, who also operates several eateries and a Fhima’s concession stand at the stadium, introduced the new and existing partners at a media preview. With a focus on gourmet foods and premium wines, Timberwolves and Lynx Chief Operating Officer Ryan Tanke said the days of going to a game and having the food as an afterthought are now in the past. Fine food and wine are all part of the experience.
Among the newcomers is Minnesota-based Wicked Kitchen, serving plant-based sandwiches and ice cream desserts. St. Paul favorite El Burrito Mercado, as well as Parlour, Butcher and the Boar and Soul Bowl will also be serving up special dishes for fans.
