Amazing Thailand
Takeout pick: An awesome choice for Thai food. Their pad thai dish is super tangy and yummy. The portions are huge, so I always have enough for lunch the next day. Would highly recommend. –LM
3024 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis; 612-822-5588

Brim
Takeout pick: The bowls here all seem meticulously designed, but I typically go with the Market Chicken for the roasted sweet potatoes and Red Lake Nations wild rice. It’s at a scenic intersection as far as intersections go—kitty-corner from Bde Maka Ska—and has a small patio. I’m tempted by the smoothie bowls, but I’m also not really a morning person. Someday, though. –ET
2919 Knox Ave. S., Minneapolis; 612-261-0506

India Palace Uptown
Takeout pick: My weekend standby for curry, with a lot of vegetarian choices. –ET
2546 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis; 612-377-5000

Namaste Café
Takeout pick: A vegetarian friend introduced me to this place. It’s next to Nico’s (below) and, like Nico’s, has a hopping little patio out front. Get a chai or lassi drink. –ET
2512 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis; 612-827-2496

Nico’s Tacos
Takeout pick: This Hennepin patio spot, in what appears to be a converted old house, takes inspiration from Mexican street food, using nixtamal tortillas and offering taco varieties like calamari, scallop, and nopales. –ET
2516 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis; 612-345-7688

Pizza Lucé Uptown
Takeout pick: I’m obsessed with “The Rustler” pizza and they are champs at fast (and free) delivery! –LM
3200 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis; 612-827-5978

Szechuan Spice
Takeout pick: Delicious and reliable. The “Sesame Tofu” is my favorite. They also have their own takeout/delivery service on their website, so you don’t have to go through a third party like DoorDash or Grubhub. –LM
3016 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis; 612-353-4281

Trio Plant-Based
Takeout pick: Some of the most decadent vegan options around. I love the nacho fries and the “BBQ Pit” burger, which comes with a giant fried onion ring. –LM
610 W. Lake St., Minneapolis; 612-326-1326
