It’s time to swap your game-day foot-long for something a bit more veggie-friendly—and we’re still talking buffalo sliders, burgers and pizza. If you and the rest of the Minnesota Twins got on board with MorningStar Farms’ #WaytoVeg campaign for just one meal a week, the boys could save enough gas to drive from Los Angeles to New York. (And who knows, maybe it could even break our Yankee curse.)
Today only MorningStar Farms will be handing out top-notch vegetarian fare to Twins and Oakland A’s fans in conjunction with the recent release of the company’s documentary series “The Veg Effect.” Keep your eyes peeled for Roasted Garlic Quinoa Burgers with Red Pepper Hummus and Thai Yellow Curry Bowls throughout the game, and tag #WaytoVeg when you dive in to the deliciousness.
MorningStar Farms is hitting the road all summerlong to “vegucate the nation” on the ease of leading a meat-free lifestyle—or at the very least, swapping in one meat-free meal a week. The benefits could be astounding:
18 trips to Mars: That’s how many car miles worth of greenhouse gases we could offset if every American adult swapped just one meat based meal for a veggie meal.
200 showers: That’s how much water you could save by choosing one meat-free meal a week over the course of a year.
