GrillFest Burger Battle Champion Donates to Local Nonprofit

As part of their prize package, The Pillbox Tavern chose The Sanneh Foundation to receive a $500 donation

If you attended GrillFest 2024 at CHS Field, you probably remember sampling the Red Cabernet Patty Melt from The Pillbox Tavern. This tasty creation was named Burger Battle Champion, and for good reason—reduced in a cabernet red wine, topped with cheese and yellow onions, and sandwiched between two slices of marble rye bread, this patty melt was a favorite among eventgoers.

As part of their prize package, The Pillbox Tavern was awarded $500 to donate to a charity or nonprofit of their choice. The restaurant selected The Sanneh Foundation, a Twin Cities-based youth development organization, to receive the check.

The Sanneh Foundation strives to empower youth by promoting educational attainment, health and wellness, and community building. The organization offers a variety of diverse programming, including in-school and after-school support, community camps, nutritional services, and more.
