Theater and music lovers, rejoice—Broadway comes back to downtown Minneapolis in October, when Hennepin Arts’ popular Broadway on Hennepin series returns. The series will bring 12 acclaimed Broadway shows to the Orpheum Theatre from September 2026 to July 2027.

This year, the lineup will include mega hits, from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s needs-no-introduction “The Sound of Music” to modern classic “Hamilton” and Tony award-winning “Hadestown.”

“This season represents the kind of bold, welcoming, and unforgettable experiences we aim to deliver through our work,” said Todd Duesing, Hennepin Arts president and CEO, in a recent press release. “By presenting Broadway at its best, we are helping to energize downtown Minneapolis, strengthen our cultural ecosystem, and create meaningful experiences that resonate far beyond the theater.”

Hennepin Arts offers seven- and eight-show subscription packages for the season, which are now available, or the option to purchase tickets for individual shows. (Individual tickets will go on sale at a later date.)
