Rosedale Center in Roseville has announced that they will be open to the public beginning Monday, May 18. In accordance with the governor’s end of the Stay at Home Order, retail stores are allowed to reopen next week.
Many of the retail stores in the mall will be open on May 18. However, bars, restaurants, and some services will remain closed until June 1. The mall also says that not all stores will be ready to open. Patrons are encouraged to visit the mall’s website for an updated roster of stores that will be open.
Lisa Crain, general manager of Rosedale Center, says “A safe environment for shoppers and retailers is our number one priority. We are closely monitoring guidance from local and national authorities and working with our clients to ensure that property safety protocols are being followed as shoppers and employees come back to Rosedale Center.”
Given their commitment to maintaining the health and safety of shoppers, the mall is asking that patrons wear masks, practice social distancing, and stay home if you are feeling ill. If necessary, Rosedale Center will keep certain areas closed, but for now, they are ready to welcome shoppers on May 18.
The operating hours of the mall will be from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Noon – 5 p.m. on Sundays. They have also temporarily suspended the mall walking program, prohibiting access to the mall prior to 11 a.m.
After Governor Walz’s announcement on May 13, many retailers and malls are preparing to open and operate with safety protocols in place, such as operating at 50% capacity. Limitations on social gatherings, bars, restaurants, barbers, and other businesses remain until June 1.
Rosedale Center has announced on its Facebook page that it will be closing until further notice, in accordance with guidance from local authorities. After being open for ten days, the shopping center will remain closed due to public safety concerns. The mall recommends watching social media for further updates about reopening.
